Page one thousand, baby! I did think about doing something different for this page but I decided to keep pushin’ things forward. These darned pages take me too long these days to blow one on a ‘cast messing about even more than usual’ page 😀

Having jesters appear on page one thousand is true poetry and reminds us about the satirical origins of the story that it is a awesome action comedy with the added benefit of sexy bods. I’m really Loving the fact it took Rath 1000 pages to become truly strong on a constant basis plus he looked real cool waxing philosophy as he waxed their fur.

Yes, it looks like Rath has been listening to the lessons of the Tanuki god (being a monk isn’t just about punching people in the throat. There’s also round house groin kicks and head butts. Plus some philosophy if time permits) 🙂

I had to reread how exactly Rath’s new abilities work. I call he’s gonna be disappointed from the cards he’s going to get, because he didn’t bother to get intimate with his foes this time and he didn’t seem to take any close-up shots. 🙂 I wonder if he releases them and adds a “Now you die, interloper!” trigger phrase as well. I already miss the cute bunny girl. XD
And another of his abilities is using the cards after releasing the foes to summon them to battle whenever he wants.
Also he impregnated one lady already.
Those are quite a few major plot points to either keep track of or completely ignore until you feel like bringing them up again. 😀

Yeah- I was thinking about having him used the ‘seduce foe’ ability on these three but I’d been scolded for spending too much time on the sexy stuff recently(the critics did have a point) so I decided to try to move things along without burning more pages on that stuff. Not that there won’t be more sex-I just need to balance it with story progression 🙂
I admit I agree with the critics, but I wasn’t all that vocal about it because I don’t want to ask artists to do XYZ if I can instead look around for artists who prefer to do XYZ to begin with.
I got hooked on the original premise of characters going “By the Book” to be different from the hand they were given, and I like that thanks to the Tanuki god it looks like this original plot point might come full circle if Rath ever tells Kazu and Zeen how he was taught to value his gifts, but that it IS ok to work on your weaknesses, too. I feel like even though the Tanuki god explained this thoroughly, Rath’s wrath blocked Rath from actually digesting that info, but I might be proven wrong, depending on what happens next, because we haven’t seen Rath talk much about his experiences yet.
Btw: Looks like even though the Tanuki god draws power from people feeling embarrassed, feeling embarrassed of who you are does not have that effect. 🙂 But I feel like if you had stuck to dramatic stuff like the Despair Beam, that could’ve been one hell of a source of conflict.
On page 1006 someone needs to “have their scouter upside-down”. 😉
