New page! The first of a new issue. Lord Darksoul makes an inspection of his new troops and weapons. Soon the world will tremble once again to the name of Darksoul! Perhaps today! Well, not today. It’s getting a bit late for that sort of thing. Tomorrow? He’s got the dentist. And the day after that it’s supposed to rain. But after that? Perhaps!

Finally, please comment below! I love hearing from my readers 🙂

…id totally make an army with such…ample equipment and give them attractive tail’s
Tails are a stylish choice! Perhaps if he’d had a tail Darksoul wouldn’t have found him so generic 🙂 If you’re going to make a legion of buff monster dudes they my as well be packin’ 😉
Things are slowly derailing ……… Or completely
Instantly derailing, I’d say. That’s efficient work! Trust the military to derail with speed and precision! 😀
Please, nobody introduce Lord Dorksoul or his R&D department to the concept of IKEA tarrasques. That level of template stacking cheese could constipate the ACTUAL tarrasque.
‘Lord Dorksoul’ XD I may have to use that one at some point 😀 Flatpack Tarrasques, hmm? You could send them to your enemies to send them mad trying to put the damned things together XD
They’re a fast way for a DM to get jumped by their players, that’s for sure. The most common start (but there are others) for those things are half black dragon war trolls. War trolls have lost their fire weakness so that acid is the only damage that pierces their regeneration, which the half black dragon template gives immunity to. So they’ve got invincible regeneration as a BASE ability. From there you find and add templates that give immunity to the various other non-hitpoint ways to kill an opponent… Needless to say they’re the kind of things DMs cook up as thought experiments that should never see any actual play. Lest their players take their DMG from them and beat them with it.
Those war trolls sound nasty! More than one would be a real handful.
One of my DMs ran a large section of a campaign with trolls that were totally immune to fire, which was a bit of a problem for me because my character was a flame magic themed sorceress (red devil looking Tiefling so I was going with a theme). I wouldn’t have minded so much but taking almost exclusively flame magic was already a sub-optimal build and my character had been easily the weakest party member up until about level 5 (Fireball coming online was a big help) so it seemed a bit harsh to make my character borderline useless for several game sessions just when she had finally started pulling her weight 😛
If you go with a fluffy build you’re definitely relying on a DM that won’t take advantage of the situation. Unfortunately few DWs can be trusted in that regard. Do I hold a grudge? Of course! I’m a dwarf at heart XD
The punny names as usual are on point.
Thanks! I do generally aim for puns so bad that they erode the sanity of the reader (just a tiny amount) ;D I did have some help with ‘Major B’ush’ XD
