The gnolls are coming! I wonder what schemes Mortubera will come up with to stop them? And does she really need to? Aren’t they here to resurrect her and form an alliance? I guess their job’s half done already 😀

I know Mortubera is an undead, but that outfit can NOT be comfortable. I mean, the entire weight of it is hanging from her nipples from the looks of it. Or at least most of it :/.
Whatchou talkin ’bout, JL? It’s not ‘hanging off her nipples’-It’s attached to the bodice. Or maybe the cloak is floating (magical tailors can work wonders, you know ;)). Is it comfortable? Probably not. One of the burdens of being an evil overlord I’m afraid. Style is more important than comfort 😉
A Doberman Gnoll? And who is the adorable fluffy one in the last panel?
Yes-The Doberman is the former head of park security (she went missing when Domina and herself went into the catacombs to investigate the missing staff and park guests). A lot of more specialised gnoll have been bred and altered through magic to make new breeds that are sold by the slaver princes. These breeds are usually created with security or battle in mind, but others are bred for their grace or speed. Kind of like dogs (but obviously far worse since these are sapient creatures that live as slaves). In this case the owner of the park (Daddlewater) bought the two Doberman gnolls (his Valet and the security chief) from another business person and freed them.
Daddlewater despises slavery but decided not to buy and free slaves directly from the slaver princes as that would just fuel the industry all the more. He campaigns against the trade, but he lacks the power to break it.
The other character is a desert gnoll seer. She’s also a vampire (hence her presence in the court of Mortubera) 🙂 She joined Mortubera back in the goblin wars when the gnolls allied themselves with Varnack and later Mortubera and Darksoul. She was one of the airship riding desert gnoll and has been asleep with her mistress for the last 200 years-Until being awakened recently. She’s not super powerful in combat but she’s a very talented seer, so is handy to have around 🙂

Well if Fulmo has indeed been mind controlled and not just turned into a vampire that raises serious questions about Domina’s loyalty as well. If i was Mortubera and the park’s security chief and senior manager both came down into my domain to investigate my kidnapping of park-goers, yes i’d brainwash them both and then send the one in the greater position of power back to be my agent and keep the park owner from being too effective against my plans.
