Now role four 6 sided dice and add up only three of them (the 4th one is not counted),unless you get lucky and role 3 ones, which would be counted as a magical 20.DANG IT! Now you’re making me remember when I played Advanced Dungeons & Dragons! I haven’t played that in decades (but I still got all those books & modules).
It’s a good game 🙂 I really got into D&D on 3rd ed, though I’d played a bit of Advanced D&D for a year or two before that. Skills and Powers FTW! They never let me use skills and powers again 🙁 Not after ‘Racarth the Destroyer’ the ogre fighter in (essentially) chaos armour. Pathfinder is probably my go to system nowadays, though I have yet to check out 5th ed.
What? 3rd? 4th? 5th? What’s that? Bah! That glitzy new stuff will never catch on! Fancy new-fangled gaming systems….Mumble, Mumble, punk kids, grumble….
Why, when I was a kid, we could only afford one 6 sided die, and we rolled it 3 times, and took the score we got, and we were glad to get it too! There was kids somewhere that could only afford 5 sided dice, they never got above 15! Next thing you know they’ll be playing this stuff on those com-pu-ters folks are always taking about….
Uh-kids today with their pac man video games and hula hoops! We started out rolling 3d6 for each stat as we went along but nobody ever got to play what they wanted to doing that. It also tends to mean one player has a very powerful character and at least one other has a character with no stats above a 10.
We used this method in a real world setting once and my best stat was an 11. Another guy had nothing lower than a 14. I spent a lot of time hiding under beds and flinging lamps at people (they didn’t trust me with a weapon). On the plus side my character survived longer than some. He just never really accomplished anything 😉 Hmm, now I think about it he kind of mirrors my own life. I do hide under beds a lot and the front room is littered with broken lamps.
Shockingly, extensive Government studies costing billions of dollars have come to the conclusion that 50% of all people are *below average*. Except in gaming.
Half of all people are below average for all people, but that would only apply to adventurers if they were selected at random from all people. Adventurers, or at least the ones who survive past the first level or two, are selected for being tougher and/or trickier than the average person.
I don’t know, those bones always seem to stay in just the right position no matter what (kind of like the necklace and feathers and stuff the chick wore in ‘Avatar’-no matter how much she leaps around they always seem to stay just where they’re needed. I demand blue nipples in Avatar 2! That reminds me, I must write to Mr Cameron again with more useful tips on how that film could be better than the first((mostly by adding blue nipples)).
I’m just waiting for somebody to cast ‘animate dead’ near Yeshka. That could be interesting 😉
Yeshka in Ranger suit is sooo sweet! :3
It’s a good alt costume for her 😉
But… Her sweet distraction armor! You realize, of course, this alt costume needs to suffer some catastrophic reconfiguration. 😉
Don’t worry-I’m sure it’d be one failed reflex save away from almost total destruction 😉

Also, we need at least one entire strip for Yeshka to decide her “Charisma” score. Those protective bones may not survive…what a shame…. 😀
