Welp, the pirates learn a valuable lesson. ALWAYS bring rope. It’s one of the most useful items (or at least the thing you’ll miss the most when you need it). Other important stuff-torches, lantern, or candles. Also oil and the means to light these things (flint and steel). 10′ pole? I guess. I’ve never used one myself but I’ve been told they’re useful.
Other tips-always put some food on your character sheet (as an item written on-not literally ;)) and always put at least one rank into ‘swim’-especially if your DM is a bit of a git (basically all DMs-being a git is one of the fringe benefits).
Thanks for reading! 😀
No, I always put real food on my character sheet, it’s the only way to get the DM to notice that it’s there.
On the plus side, we need more Koatek and Goret.
There will be more Goret soonish. And a bit more Koatek…;)
When you say more… do you mean “an unfortunate accident” that destroys his clothing?
What? A pirate with no rope?! That’s totally a nautical ship-themed item. Pirate’s license REVOKED!
But the boat’s right there-it’s full of rope 😉
*begins thinking about a KoatekxMoroz fanfic involving cannon puns*
Oh my… Yes, they do look a bit chummy in that panel. Moatek? Koroz? Shipped!
So… you’re saying that it’s CANNON? ;3
This pleases me 🙂
I may not have an income to be a patreon, but I hope I get to see this at some point
Am I the only one who imagines Koatek’s voice sounding squeaky? no? just me?
I imagine him sounding like an earnest young man-he’s the most innocent of the pirate crew. Not squeaky, but not as deep as you might imagine from his size. Of course, you are free to imagine the character’s voices however you wish 🙂
I can attest that rope saves adventurer lives.
Fun fact: When engaging in close quarters with a rifle, the technical term for using the back end of it to bludgeon your enemy is “butt-stroking”. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buttstroke)
lol 😀 Always makes me smile (I’m such a moron).
