Yes, they’ve been mentioned every now and then. The most obvious mention was the scene between the elderly gnome couple and Tamauran the centaur -where the old man mentions having served in the final battle against the four dark lords. That war was the last really big ‘good vs bad’ conflict to have taken place (though there have been a lot of smaller conflicts and ‘situations’ since then-such as the last incarnation of Galanesh dealt with by the silver blades roughly 30 years ago) 🙂
