Okay I call shenanigans on the villagers here. Claiming they had no money to reward the heroes who freed them from the Vermin Queen. They even only gave them a fancy dinner. It’s not as if they needed all that gold for winter food now either with everything they took from the sorceresses larders. So yes Shenanigans! 🙂
