But what’s your problem with Status Quo, Alice? A lot of people like that band π I wonder if Alice’s old adventuring group were related to this ‘Holy League’ in any way? She mentioned that her first group hadn’t gone so well back when our heroes first met her. She certainly seems to feel strongly about it… Alice is one of those people that’s very cheerful and easy going most of the time but can suprise people with her wrath when she’s suitably angry about something. She doesn’t fight many battles-But when she stands her ground there’s no shifting her.
If you can afford to, please back me on Patreon. Two pages every week and a new vote pic every month. That’s the dream. More backing means more time to work on the comic π

I was wondering where the Symphonettes were but i realised they were with Zeen the hack wizard lizard lol.
Insightful dialogue, it reminds me of the renaissance i think? while there was quite a lot of conflict over the introduction of hard science as well religious conflicts. See by Galileoβs time, nearly a thousand years later, the Italian-speaking peoples had grouped themselves into rival, local, independent states, each centered on a commercial city ruled by a dominant family. The stability and freedom of these city-states combined with looking into the pasts technologies of the greeks that flung humanity into the modern age eventually.
My god im possibly over thinking things thanks to bashing butts and rosary pasties… Curse you Pete Ankorn -_-
Yes-The renaissance was the beginning of the new age. The re-discovery of the science and philosophy of the ancient world. The enlightenment or ‘age of reason’ built on those re-discoveries with new ideas-leading into modern ways of thinking, modern scientific method and the questioning of religious truth and the order of the world π https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Age_of_Enlightenment
I’ve always been fascinated with the Renaissance, Based one of my worlds on the revolutionary renaissance themes prevalent of the time, celestial magic being cast through star-stones, and the like hahaha
It’s an interesting period π I always find the wars between the various city states of Italy and their allies and the Ottoman empire to be quite interesting. I suppose that’s the beginning of Europe becoming the most dominant force in the world for a while. Up until then the Arab world and the far east (particularly China) had been the most advanced civilisations on Earth. The Renaissance leads into the age of discovery and the age of reason and industrialisation and empire. I’m more interested in the Enlightenment/Age of reason period (which is a big influence on the setting of BTB) but the Renaissance is also fascinating. History is the best resource for creating fantasy I find. That’s why I spend far more time learning about our own history than about fantasy worlds (though a good fantasy setting is also a wonderful thing :)).
I think our lovely red head may have touched something in our lioness antagonists. Maybe a turning of tables is coming?
Alice is close to pulling a Martin Luther and nailing her 95 Theses to their butts.
I just remembered that Yeshka, Arjuna and that weird knight are still around.
A health system that only the rich people can afford? Kinda reminds me of the present.
