New page! Rath struggles to secure vital wang covering equipment while Hemesh reveals his shiny new security guard. I was going to make her armour black, but I decided that blended in with her coat a bit too much so I went with purple. Grape flavoured armour 🙂

Kitty doesn’t mind-It’s a steady job and she got some fancy new armour out of it 🙂 Hemesh isn’t really evil and he’s kind of handy to have around if you need some gear-He’s just a bit opportunistic sometimes (to be polite about it ;)).
Knowing hemesh , i’m sure he hasn’t given the armour and sword for free : surely hired Kitty with it , saying she’ll be his guard until the full “refund” of her debt
I must confess i had still a light hope by seeing the sketch was named “cat merc” ………. But it’s ruined X_X
He probably hasn’t given her the best deal, but a story with no adversity would be quite dull. I can’t have every character join the main group either-It’s getting a bit unwieldy as it is. As Hemesh’s muscle she’ll get to remain a part of the comic rather than never showing up again 🙂 Don’t worry too much-I’m sure she can look after herself 😉 Hemesh may find out that he’s bitten off more than he can chew…
Well ……….. Rath as monk (but needs some healing spells , because i don’t think Alice will stay with them when they’ll leave) , Kazu as rogue , Zeen as wizard , Maxie as thief , and Kitty as warrior : that would be a full and effective team ^_^
Monks are martial artists rather than healers. They get a minor healing ability called ‘wholeness of body’ but they can only use that on themselves 🙂 Rogue and thief are basically the same thing. Maxie is a Bard. Bards mostly provide buffs, but can also do a bit of fighting and have a mixture of wizard spells and healing spells (though their spell progression is slower than a pure caster like a wizard).
That last sentence is good to hear, because while I agree that a story with no adversity is dull, a story with one-sided adversity (including one-sided comedy) has its own set of problems.
Also, normally it’s seriously dangerous to keep pissing off your customers. Best case, you go out of business, worst case, lights out.
By the way : Kitty being L6 fighter from all her kills . This means : with all the time Maxie has escaped to cats and humans , she’s L8 in flying away and surely L10 in sneaking . That’s good qualities for a bard ^_^

Hmm yes I’m not the most knowledgeable about art and such but there’s something about the last panel that just reaches out and speaks to me.. I wonder whatever could it be? 😉
During the Renaissance, techniques of perspective were perfected, that (unlike the flat, almost symbolic art of the medieval period) realistic depictions of the natural world could be achieved. Later, I did my best to gain some small knowledge of those techniques so that I could draw cat ladies with big butts and highly impractical armour. Is this the height of human culture and civilisation? Yes. I think it probably is.
Indeed I have yet to find an individual with a more refined sense of culture or civilization than you, Truly you are a paragon of high society.
Quite so, old boy (adjusts monocle). My graphic story telling is very post modern and has enormous depth. The narrative, the characters, the themes and complex symbolism so subtle and deftly executed that it appears (at least on the surface) to be the work of some sort of lusty idiot.
The exquisite humor found in both this work of art and the discussion thereof indeed presents a serious threat to my status of a living man.
