New page! I was a bit late again. I did think about rolling this one to Saturday, but what the hey. I’ll just have to work even harder to catch up 😀 The batty feral vampires make an appearance. They were supposed to be throw-away thugs but I kind of love these guys already. Shall I make the comic be about them from now on? Probably not a good idea, but I’d like to do more with them at some point 🙂

I’m reposting this question since you were probably very busy trying to get the comic out after that last one that you didn’t see it in the previous posts. 🙂
Female mountain gnoll who have pure white fur is seen as a bad omen among Mountain Gnoll. Does this hold true for the males as well? Or is pure white fur something that only happens with females, or do they take a different view on it if it’s a male with the white coat?
I think males aren’t concerned about white fur , because goddess Moon is “female” . So , only white fur females are “insulting”
That was one of my theories, I’d just like clarification from Peter if it’s true or not. 🙂
I would say that it’s seen as being a bad sign in both male and female and both would usually enter service with the church of the moon goddess (or be gotten rid of some other way). Not all mountain gnolls believe in this custom, but there are still enough that do to make things uncomfortable for any gnoll born with a pure white coat 🙂

I guess this page proves that Peter CAN draw characters that made charisma their dump stat. Seriously, I know he’s undead but what is up with that dude’s face? The Bat Queen herself is only in a marginally better spot, but I’m only gonna say that from the safety and anonymity of a computer screen :/.
Honestly out of the four of them, he’s the only one I completely buy as a feral vampire. I think it’s because his bald head brings up images of the movie Nosferatu. The shorter muzzle than the others make him look more batlike too, which is what I assume they’re supposed to be, bat-creature vampires since their leader is the Bat Queen. 🙂
From what I’ve seen in monster manuals it looks like feral vampires retain the basic looks of the base creature, but their teeth become a mouth full of fangs and they take on a more vicious appearance.
I was mixing a bit of the Ghoul Kings faction from ‘Age of Sigmar’ (delusional vampires that have devolved into more animalistic ways) combined with bat monsters and hoodlums. I wanted them to be vampires that have given up on any ideas about retaining a human or civilised lifestyle and revel in their own predatory nature. They’re more about raw power than the flashy parlour tricks that traditional vampires use 🙂

Anthrax has gone for a classic 50s biker look 🙂 She’s quite big and strong but she’s definitely a woman 😉 These guys don’t have access to much in the way of resources, so their outfits are cobbled together from whatever rags or junk they can find (which was not very much by the looks of things ;)).

She hasn’t tried to kill them yet (she’s only threatened to kill them). That’s positively neighbourly on the Moroz behaviour chart 🙂
