I think Dungeon Crunch sounds pretty tasty. It’s a good name for a cereal. I may make a vote pic of Dungeon Crunch as a treasure item-complete with Pathfinder/3.5 rules 🙂
A big THANK YOU! to all of my Patrons! You guys really help me to keep making BTB 🙂

YAY! Dark Folklore reference!
and Zeens’ comedic abuse of his medicore powers is one of the reasons i actually WANT magic to exist. imagine the German bratwurst parties!
I can think of a certain mountain gnoll that would enjoy ‘meatier swarm’ 🙂
HEHEH i could imagine that too along with a few other certain characters of course >:D
also, that cricket in the pool was just so amazingly subtle though wow that health risk is worth it
Glad you like it. I enjoy hiding little details in the pages sometimes 🙂
i almost forgot to ask this on many oppoutunities; Rath applied for being Lord Darksouls bodyguard/inner circle multiple times. Did that include some sort of long series of (possibly fatal) tests and trials to even be considered the personal choosing? or was it a “Apply and hope your background history is good enough for the job”? thats always niggled at my mind throughout the series because if it was the first guess… just wow give the guy his dues
dose that mean that the bunny spell is a counter to a turn rabbit into goblin spell?? do they need to find a goblin spell to fix it?? also our fave mouse girl being called off by the pied piper pretty funny, tho you cant steal here from us! and i can see his random silly spells being REALY helpful if ever captured no one would have counters for attack counters or even be prepared for a grate escape were you use meat to trick the dogs a desk to climb a fence and maby a lock doors (insted of unlock doors) spell to keep pressures at bay…. aphid arrow …. brings army of ants with it
They may have their uses. The ant idea’s a good one if there’s a bunch of giant ants around 🙂
also that tiny pool in the first panel… totally thought it was the hole that poped up in perfect cells arena floor in DBZ abridged till i saw it was a tiny pool https://youtu.be/IK-BElzGqWc?t=80
It’s a grasshopper’s pool 🙂 You can see it better if you right click the page and choose ‘view image’ to see it at the correct size 🙂
In my honest opinion, Zeen is a better Magic user than some OTHER Magical users I know…*Cough* D&D buddy *Cough*
Mmhh, those stupid spells, they remind me of something….
We were introduced to a magician character who happened to use a “summon meat” spell, and this character has a title…..
I have a theory : Hathoraz is the boss of Dungeon Crunch Inc, she is the one who invented all the spells, and with the money and knowledge acquired she managed to gain politic power in the Gnoll Empire !
Hmm…you could be on to something. She DOES have a talent for creating odd (seemingly useless) spells…
You know, I had a thought just now, and I would like to say this while I still have it. The mouse lady is really cute an’ all, but there is always an image that pops into my head when I see her…Just in the black pits of my mind, I see the horrific Skaven horde swarming my mind as I desperately try to fight back..I’ve been playing to much Vermintide..Cute mouse lady can stay though, I like her.
She’s a cute little mouse with good hygiene standards-so definitely NOT a skaven (those doity rats!) 😉 Is that game any good? I’m a big Warhammer fan. Been playing the games since 1991 😀 Playing using Age of Sigmar rules right now, although I’m making my own army using Greek Hoplites and the like to make a fantasy Greek army (using the ‘Order’ book for stats).
I havent gotten a chance to play any of the original board game type deals I believe are out there, but I have Mordheim: City of the Damned game, and Vermintide. I do recommend Vermintide, really good fun, but kind of a grind to get good gear. I kind of recommend Mordheim, it has some really good moments of victory, if you manage to get by the moments of terror and defeat. I posted a review on steam (Same account name as on here, same pic too) that has my thoughts on the game. To sum it up I will quote another review, “There is RNG, and then there is Mordheim RNG”. I also have a mod for Medieval Two: Total War, (Since im too cheap to buy the Total War: Warhammer game and its stupid “DLC”.) Its called “Call of Warhammer: Beginning of The End Times”, Pretty good, few crashes but its a mod so meh. AND if you havent had enough, Mount and Blade: Warband mod, “Warsword Conquest”, pretty good as well. Welp, theres that, if you ever pick up the game im willin’ to play with ya.
Cool 🙂 I try to keep up with gaming news but I have very little time to actually play them these days-the comic is a harsh mistress that demands almost all of my time.
Yeah, I understand. “The Mistress must not be left alone, for she may be allowed to rain terror down upon you with her swarm of minions. (The Minions being the readers)” Im pretty sure thats how it feels like.
Sometimes I get a Vegeta vibe off Rath, DBZA version of course. But who’s good ole’ God Dammit Nappa?
Particularly the whole pink shirt/fluffy bunny bit.
i see that cool comparison
I guess maybe Zeen would be Nappa in this comparison 🙂 Rath doesn’t really have any minions. It seems to be the norm in BTB that the person at the top is incompetent/crazy whilst the long suffering minions are the competent ones vs DBZ abridged where the big bosses (Vegita and later Frieza) are the serious/effective characters with stupid and useless underlings (Nappa, Ginyu Force etc) 🙂
Or even in normal DBZ (though Nappa’s not as goofy in the real DBZ)- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3nDC30IMeD8
