Stupidity in’t the only reason to keep fighting when a cause is lost. I think it’s duty and honour in her case 😉
There’s not much honor in defending cruel bandits from resisting victims, and holy duties hardly list assisting in pillaging. Most oaths have loopholes, and finding a loophole in oath compelling one to do evil is more honorable than just dump the responsibility.
It’s also not necessarily a lost cause. The Nemean is still a good magnitude more powerful than Rath and co, and who knows how long Kazu can keep up that new form before the Tanuki god runs out of power to lend her.
Yes, that’s also true. Nemeans are naturally very powerful and this (as yet unnamed one) is a noble (as indicated by her wings) and therefore even more powerful than a regular legionary 🙂 Although there is little reason to fight at this stage, victory is still far from impossible for the cult (given that the villager horde that was able to break the cultists so swiftly was in turn easily brushed aside single handedly by the Nemean).
Hmm only lasted until the end of Kazu’s next turn. Either it’s not a very powerful hex meant only to give the user time to get away or it’s length is based on the number of hit dice the target has. Either way they’re pretty much screwed. XD
They got in some good hits. That power can last longer, but the Tanuki god’s still quite weak. They stunned her for a whole combat round, which isn’t too bad 😉
